Career Counselling

The problem I want to discuss is the lack of proper career counselling facilities at the school level. I selected this problem because it is affecting the whole life of people who made wrong decisions about their career and now are just working 9 to 5 just to earn money with a lot of stress instead of experiencing a feeling of happiness. Many problems of our society are being solved by many people but this area remains unattended. Also, I have gone through the same phase that’s why I know its importance for every growing kid.

Problem Statement:

Due to the lack of proper career counselling facilities at the school level, students and their parents are unable to make appropriate decisions for their bachelor’s degrees. It eventually results in inappropriate choices which may lead to failure.

People Affected:

I have also been through the same situation after my intermediate exams when I was unable to decide the field I want to join. Somewhere in my mind, I wanted to join arts and I gave a test for it as well. But I got fail in that test because of no proper preparation because I never know the presence of such academies which help students to prepare for their arts test.

Secondly, I want to share the story of my cousin. After her intermediate exams, he started doing a bachelor’s in psychology. But after being 1 year into that degree she realized that it’s not her cup of tea. So, she left the degree, and now he is waiting for admissions to open to join a new degree. This has resulted in a wastage of a whole year of her studies.

Solution:

To solve this problem I have thought to start a career counselling complaint in which we will visit different schools and will guide students over there about the importance of career counselling and guiding them so that they can make a better decision for themselves in the future. To make the concept more clear to the students we will prepare the presentations and the success stories of the people who got succeeded just because of better career choices.

At the advanced stage, we can make a company that will connect the career counsellors and different schools.
