The journey started when my friend Abeeha told me about this course. At first, I was like why do I need to spend even a small amount of money, and what special I will learn. But many many thanks to Abeeha that in our last paper she was talking about his project works and we asked her to tell us the details. She guided me and my friend in a very good way and told us about her amazing journey in the AMAL Academy. Then, I thought of giving it a try. Before my interview, I was in so much doubt that I might not get selected but Alhamdulilah my interview went well and I got selected. That was a really happy moment.

After that, the journey started and I can’t express my gratitude in words for AMAL academy and Benje for such a massive learning opportunity. Now, this journey is going to end but I am ending this wonderful experience with my whole Batch-178 family. And I hope that this family will stay connected forever. Since everything was online, we can’t get an opportunity to meet with every fellow in person but hopefully, we will meet soon after this pandemic ends. And obviously, I will never forget Mam Sahar and Sir Saim. They made us learn a lot of things in a very short time in a very effective and absorbable way. They went #extramile at each step to make our learning experience the best.

Talking about the instance that had the most impact on me was the selection of Leaders for our mega project. At first, I volunteered and then another person also volunteered to become the leader. At that time I was ready to not a leader but our group members said both of us will be leading and that was fine. Some tasks were managed by Yasir and some by me. But then one person has to take the lead to connect with our PM and PA. So Yasir took the lead. It was okay but then I realized that working effectively in a team doesn’t require being the leader but the principle of teamwork “Aik Aur Aik Gyarah” is more important. And that was the best learning for me. Now at this point, I am very thankful to not be a leader. Because I have learned much more than if I was a leader. This made me develop so many team working skills and now I have also practiced “Leadership without Authority”.

My group fellows played a great role in making me learn all of this. Because they were very supportive and encouraged me and each other at every step. I think encouragement makes us more productive and the same happened in our group. Everyone was helping and giving constructive feedback at each level.

Looking back, made me realized that after this fellowship I am a completely different person. I have learned a lot of things and I believe that this journey doesn’t end here. It’s a lifelong journey where we have to learn more and implement all of the learning from the AMAL fellowship. And again I want to pay my gratitude to Mam Sahar, Sir Saim, and the whole Batch-178 Family for this amazing journey. It was such an amazing opportunity that I think every student should take this fellowship and I have already recommended it to many people in my circle so that they can also avail this amazing opportunity. This journey gave me an amazing learning experience, awesome friends, and a hardworking team.
